I need a reliable password cracker that doesn't take a password to install. because my comp was messed up by crack heads while i was on vacation and they stole my spare vehicle pieces of sh@#. so I'm reaching out so hopefully someone who's had problems with bums and crackheads messing up there garden villa while they were enjoying the white sand beaches and turqoise water. wet tig ol bittys and the hot sun. then coming home to your stuff being stolen thrashed your computer with some idiots pic on it new passwords and all your files except guest are locked and after sitting for 13 hours putting in random codes it still isn't cracked.

If it's a Windows box, use ophcrack Live CD from here:

Just burn it to a CD, boot from CD, and wait. Within 15 minutes, the passwords on the box just appear on the screen. Works for default installations of Win XP and earlier, but not for default installs of Vista and Server 2008, because Microsoft finally turned off the LM Hashes.

I agree about Ophcrack...
If you just want to reset the password rather than crack it, you could use the old ntpasswd tool at:

Windows Preinstallation Environment
Win Preinstallation Environment was used by techies all over. Its pretty useful on windows boxes for ghosting etc, full of tools and if you make custom slipstream PQRE install dvd's you have lots of scope for control. Allows some drive access without need for password even if NTFS. Only usually boot from CD not DVD but some drives allow bootable DVD hence you can fit more on such as all MS updates, SP3, Mediaplayer 11, IE7, blue xp 32+64bit dual boot and blue office 2007. Stick ERD commander on there, NT hash kit etc on there. I made a super DVD that cracks all windows boxes inc Vista. I got all MS O/S on there inc the famous win 98 boot floppy and some DOS kit. Roll on Blueray Bootable cus I will even install preinstallation porn!
Only stumble is on laptops with hard drive password that can not swap HD in other box to crack.

I repair computers for a living, and this program has been golden in times when I need to gain the Administrator account to do system repairs. I have used opcrack, but in my own opinion this program is alot more effecient.

user active password recovery. It will write the sams file(whre your pw is) into a sams file with no password. Then you log in with no pass word and setup a new one. Works whereever sams file is being used, which is most ever end user.

What about the file encryption in windows? If it is enabled and files are encrypted in the cracked users account, will he still have access to them or will he need the original password? He could also make a new user as an administrator and change the password on the profile he wants to get into
