This idea originated from s0kket. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the matter...
Adsense does a postback to the referring site in order to know which ads to display. It is then possible to use Adsense as both an origin of attack or an IPS (Intrusion Prevention System). While using Adsense as an origin of attack is interesting, it is not possible to verify the attack was successful (without help from the victim, of course). Taking that in mind, I will focus on the IPS idea. Since Adsense is able to see any URL (and utilize it), Adsense could be used as a centralized IPS. One hinderance is that Google does not do this, so a system would have to be created to retrofit Adsense as an IPS. Another hinderance is that even if a retrofitted system is made, the originating IP of the attacker is not known, since the request came from Google.
